“Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and his name shall be called Emman′u-el” (which means, God with us).  Matthew 1:23

Every year God gives me a verse to go by and a tag line to bring that verse into a practical environment.  This year everything came together as a package.  The Christmas theme for 2012 became the theme for the year 2013.  No matter what happens in this world, the evil and/or the good, nothing changes the fact that God is with me, participating in my life, engaged with me, talking to me, listening to me, watching me and most of all, guiding me along this journey into the very purpose in which He created me.  It is exciting to participate in a relationship that has unconditional love, one where He is more faithful than I, one where He comes and creates a new person, where the old is gone and the new is being changed from one moment to the next.  You can almost sense His joy as He watches me grow into who He is slowly but surely.

I am looking forward to a year of discovering what it means when God is with us and primarily looking at the New Testament through the eyes of the Revised Standard Version.  Yes, I know that’s old school but after a year of looking at the Old Testament through the Living Bible, I think its time to change things up again.

Join with me on a new adventure, discovering what God has intended to reveal about His character to those that follow Him.
