If you are going to follow anyone, it will be someone worthy of such a follow.

Just had another discussion with one of my youth and he asked about the older gentleman I meet from time to time – has he made a decision to follow Jesus?  Unfortunately, the older man has committed not to follow Jesus because of all the evil in the world and God‘s inability to show up and make a difference.

It is in these conversations that I begin to realize the power of illustration and how Jesus is seen very much like a lamb but He will show Himself as a lion.  Everyone in heaven knows that only Jesus has the power and authority given to Him by the Father and who is worthy to do be intimate with Him.

It is the worthiness of Christ that makes Him worthy for me to follow Him – God with us.
