The goal is not to sin

However, if we do sin, we have an advocate with our Father, Jesus the righteous one, the expiation for our sins.

It is by this very act that we get to know Jesus when we walk with Him and it is our actions of obedience that suggest that we indeed are walking with Him.

In fact it is safe for me to say that if one says they know Jesus but does not walk in obedience to His call that person is a liar and there is no truth in them.

Then it also suggests that if one were to keep to the Word of God, they are in fact truly in love with God and that love in God is perfected.

It is the only way we know we walk with Him – if we say that we do than we ought to walk in the same way in which He walked.
