They say that men who have a family are the priest’s and have responsibilities that belong to a priest.
Jesus, is our high priest.
We act on behalf of our family in relation to God, we step in to offer them up as gifts and to stand in the gap in regards to their sins.
We can deal gently with any ignorant or wayward actions because we ourselves are also weak vessels and have had to deal with our own confession of sins.
As Jesus was appointed to His position by His Father and we are appointed to ours by Christ.
Just as Jesus modeled a life of prayer and showed us how He emotionally offered those prayers to God and how God answered them – we do the same.
Jesus learned obedience through what He suffered and of course being perfect He became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey Him.
Even though its hard to explain to us men and because we tend to be dull of hearing, we miss the point of our role in the family to be like Christ.
