We talk so much of God’s love and HIs grace and while it is true that He extends that grace and love towards us, how many of us receive it?
No matter how many amens and hallelujahs are uttered from our lips, are we not afraid that at the time to be judged we have failed to obtain the promise of eternal life?
Good news comes to us just as it comes to everyone else, but if the message I hear will have no benefit to me unless I meet it with faith.
Only those who believe can enter the promise of rest. The same rest that God uttered on the seventh day of creation.
If we continue to disobey God, turn our backs to His voice and call, we fail to receive the advice from David, the shepherd King – “Today, when you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.”
For when I do not harden my heart, accept His message by faith, believe that He is God, walk in obedience to His voice and Word, there remains for me a Sabbath rest. Whoever enters God’s rest also ceases from their work as God did from His.
