Baptized into Christ

A word I have not used to describe the law is the word custodian.  I like it as it reflects almost the task of a bookmark – keeping us in the place we need to be.

Now that we have found our place in Christ we are now justified by faith.

How does such a miracle take place, what actually makes us sons of God through faith?

Heads up to all of us who might think that baptism is not important or just a symbol or only for children.

As many of us who have been baptized into Christ have actually put on Christ.  It is the act of baptism that makes us all one – one in Christ Jesus.

It is baptism that makes us the fulfillment of promise given to Abraham – heirs according to promise.

I have a pastor who comes from a Presbyterian heritage where he was baptized as an infant into membership with the church and in dedication to God.  As an adult, he thinks he does not need to be baptized as a decision he has made to follow Jesus. Where am I in my areas of Christian walk with Jesus on other matters that would be similar to this?

It is an encouragement to me in my walk with Jesus to view my culture and tradition under His worldview and not mine.  I pray that we all see the Biblical worldview as the way to go even if it is contrary to our culture or tradition.
