To understand that even though I absolutely enjoy walking with Jesus, it seems that the right thing to do that I want to do – can I dare say, even will to do – I do not do. That messes up my spiritual life to no end.
It’s almost like you try to journey through the day and try not to say anything out loud as to not give away the plan of a perfect day with Jesus – knowing full well that someone is going to try to mess it up.
We wonder why our walk is sometimes so difficult to be transparent with each other – can’t afford to risk being someone who brags about walking with Jesus and sooner or later the fall is coming and no one likes talking about the mess.
Peter has to be all of our heroes. He mastered the art of declaring absolute determination to die for Jesus and for doing a 180 degree turn and messing up.
How he must have felt. During the event and then reading it after Matthew, Mark, Luke and John wrote about it. Knowing that every church knew about it too and every member.
Regardless, lets encourage each other with our walk with Jesus and the desire to be and do – when we fall, lets continue to encourage each other to grab hold of Jesus hand once again because He stopped to wait for us to get back up again.
