A devout follower

devout followerIf someone was writing about your walk with God, how would they call you?

There was an Italian who was not a Jew and he was described as being “devout.”

I like that.  So I took another look to see what it would take to be described as so.

Feared God, his entire family did as well, generously gave to those who did not have and prayed constantly to God…

Being in awe of God is something that slips from time to time as we take God for granted – but most of the time we are incredibly made aware of His mercy and grace in our lives.

Personally, that works, but what can I say about our entire family?  Even the most incredible Christians of our day struggle with the idea that their entire family are followers of Christ. Yet this gentleman found the way to share Jesus and get a complete buy-in to the gospel message.

Praying constantly sounds much harder than it is – for sure, you cannot treat it like Bible reading.
