In my journey this year of coming to the place where I actually understand that God is walking with me, I have been looking to Him to show me the way and show me how to walk with Him.
Sometimes through this journey, I look more to what actions I need to follow. Not asking, “what would jesus do?” but rather, “why would Jesus do this?”
The joy of following through on these has made a difference.
Then this morning I was reading something I have known but fell in love with again as I realized where the power for living for Jesus has been coming from. The words are simple – “heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.”
My journey has been an adventure. I have thankfully remembered that His Word matters. Not as law, but as the final statement of what is true. In that truth there is life, healing, salvation.
When I leave this world, I know there is one thing I will take with me – His Word. It will still be alive and well in the new heaven and the new earth.
- Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear. (Luke 21:33) (twgdailydevotionals.wordpress.com)
