When we think about the number of worship instructions the children of Israel had to implement throughout the temple era of the old covenant, you know that God knows us pretty well and knows that if He not present we might soon forget about Him or at least not remember Him for everything that He is.
It is a special time of memory and remembering.
For me, the body being broken is a time for being reminded that by His stripes were are healed. The cup represents the blood making me white as snow.
These special moments of celebration with the body of Christ reinforce my commitment to follow, honour and glorify Christ. It is another reminder of my commitment I made to do so when I was 14 years old. It keeps me focused on what really matters and of Christ’s love for me.
