It is about introducing people to Jesus, not about being so concerned about whether you are right or wrong.
We get caught up in the morality question because we really do not understand the Scriptures – for example, do we really understand what “grace” really means? Probably we understand how it relates to us, but we have grave difficulty understanding how to apply it to others.
We also do not understand the power of God. We think we can change peoples lives, we can make a difference, we can fight cancer or a job loss or a death in the family. We fail to understand that this God, this all-powerful God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is the God of the living.
Since we fail to understand these two simple truths, we find that we litter our pathway with wreckage. There is no love, no kindness, no forgiveness and our lives are empty of this peace that some describe as passing all understanding.
Yes, we are wrong because we do not understand the Scriptures, nor do we understand the power of God.
