What happens when we are faking it?

What are the signs when you act like you are walking with God but you are not?

First of all, you make it very difficult for others to walk with God.  If you can’t you make sure others can’t either.

When you finally share the gospel with someone and they decide to follow Christ, you mess them up so much that they become twice the faker you are.

You set up these rules and spin others that just do not make sense except they really make you look good and make you feel wise.

Best of all, you tithe, faultlessly, and yet neglect things that really matter when it comes to relationships with others.  Those things that involve justice and mercy and faith and still keeping up with things like tithing.

You push the impossible – making mountains out of mole hills and making others swallow horse pills.

Everything looks perfect from the outside, but inside you are devious and evil, willing to hurt and extort others to push your own gain.

Watch out so that our walk is always current and real – when it stops being real, these might be some of the signs that we are following more from an unhealthy distance than we should be.
