Nothing will be impossible to you

nothing will be impossible to you

Ever hold a mustard seed in your hand – it is incredibly small – and yet that is all that is required to say to a mountain to move from here to there or to cast out a demon from a possessed person or to pray for one to be healed of an illness.

We all possess such faith, yet it would seem that we have not put it too much use.  In fact, Jesus describes that kind of faith unusable.  There are many spiritual laws that exist in our world.  The one that I have been taught in regards to this truth is  – if you do not use it, you will lose it.

There is only one verse in the entire Bible that describes how faith can grow and how one practices the use of faith so that in times when it is required to be acted upon, you and I can engage, and nothing will be impossible to us.  “So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes by the preaching of Christ.”  Romans 10:17 RSV

Walking with God everyday is the only way to live a life called upon to live by Jesus – walk with God – talk with Him, listen to Him, engage in His Word and the Word that created the world and put this world into very existence continues to do the impossible through you and I – what an adventure!

Amen! We need to talk to Him and walk with Him so others can see Him in us

Amen! And another passage of Scripture shows how your faith can grow and ultimately proven to be genuine…through enduring trials! 6 In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.” (from 1 Peter)

And another scripture to back up your Romans 10:17 quote is Romans 15:4, ” For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.”

Thanks for sharing your reflection. Blessings!
