Any one following you?

Any one following youCome to think of it, it makes sense doesn’t it – our fruit is evident in our walk with God and people who see God in us want to follow us.

How often to we try to force people to follow us and wonder why, even then, it doesn’t happen – they actually find ways of running away.

Just like following God is a relationship, others following us will only happen when we have a relationship with them too.  So often we are told to preach, teach, coach, mentor etc. but  I think people get to know us best when we treat them as friends.  Our sincerity opens up their heart and soul and before long – you have a follower.  Willing and able to share with you what they need from Jesus, something they see in you and want and need to know how.

Special times of prayer happen here to and believe me when I tell you that you will be stunned to how God answers some of those prayers.  For some of us, that can get pretty dramatic.

Stay cool and calm in these situations and make sure you always remind yourself – its Jesus inside you that they find attractive.

I agree that people get to know Jesus through us, especially by the way we live our lives. If we love others with the love of Christ, they can’t help but see Him in us. Thanks for the great post!
